The Bristol Rovers striker Darry Duffy insists the Bulls keeper Craig Samson should not be blamed for United's heavy defeat.
Duffy was instrumental in opening up a hesitant Hereford defence, helping himself to two goals in the process.
However, he had some consoling words for Samson (pictured) who he played against when the duo were youngsters in Scottish football.
Duffy said; 'Every match I`ve played against him I`ve scored, but he`s a good goalkeeper, that`s the thing about it.
'I don`t think he had a chance.
'Our goals were unstoppable.'
Meanwhile, a confident Rovers head-coach Paul Trollope claims Bristol will now become a force at the top of the table thanks to the striking duo of Duffy and Rickie Lambert.
'We feel Rickie and Darryl have got a good partnership going and that both of them will score goals.
'It's still in the early stages and we feel it will only improve as they get to know each other's games inside out.
'Rickie's got four goals already and it was nice for Darryl to get off the mark at home because as a striker you are always waiting for your first goal in the league.
'Both of them put a good shift in, which is why I gave them a breather in the second half - although they weren't too pleased as they wanted their hat-tricks!'
Trollope dismissed suggestions that the Pirates five-goal margin of victory had been because the Bulls had played poorly.
'You'd be hard pressed to see a better collection of goals anywhere in the country. The quality of the finishing was very good.
'Jeff [Hughes'] shot on the run is one of the hardest skills to master.
'We've been good in the opposition's box, which is something we've worked on, and when you take the chances that come along, it changes the game.
'We've had similar chances at the Memorial Stadium in the past and not taken them, especially over the last year.
'It was nice to have an afternoon where we got a lot of shots in and scored a lot of goals.'
