Pitman on 1-0 win

Hereford picked up a vital 3pts on Saturday; a 1-0 win over Dagenham meant that The Bulls won their first league two game of the season.

Jamie Pitman, as he told BBC Hereford & Worcester, was delighted with the win and the impact the younger players had on the game.

Sam Winnall, on of these youngsters, proved the match winner and was praised accordingly: 'they (the young substitutes) have made a great impact on the game and they just stretched things a little bit for us.

'I thought we always had a goal in us and it was a case of just getting that chance and young Sam (Winnall) is a fantastic prospect and he knows where the goal is.'

In the midweek prior to this league two game the youngsters were given a run-out to see what they could do and Pitman feels that they are 'capable' of playing at senior level: 'that was what the game in the week was for - to see what they are capable of in men's football and all three of them came on and did very well.'
