18/10/2014. 3-00pm.

Attendance: 410.

Referee:

Herefords young guns came away with a well deserved point from this game and could well have snatched a win at the death.
Facing up to the League's form team the Bulls kicked off in a kit borrowed from their hosts.

Poole's Mark Jermyn was first to threaten with a cross come shot almost dipping under the crossbar.
Next up Burbridge was fouled on the edge of the penalty area which danger man Steve Devlin saw flicked away for a corner. Whisken then headed a Burbridge cross wide as Poole dominated the opening 10 minutes.

The Bulls were starting to get into the game and Obi Onyeike drilled a shot which the Poole keeper just about managed to keep out. Steve Vetier then attempted a 30 yarder that screamed just wide of the upright.

The game was beginning to become end to end and one foul saw Dan O'Reilly booked on a challenge on the dangerous Burbridge.

Onyeike again tested Hutchings as the Bulls were getting into the game and playing some attractive passing football.

Preston then had a goal disallowed for Poole after being flagged offside and within seconds his shot was palmed onto a post by Luke Williams who then saved Brook's header from the rebound. A brilliant double save from the young stopper.

Devlin was next in the book for a foul as halftime approached.

HT: Poole 0 Hereford 0.

From the kick off Hereford should have taken the lead following some appalling Poole defending but somehow Hutchings kept the ball out.

A double substition for Poole saw Roberts and Emerson replace Preston and Jermyn.

Poole then laid siege to the Hereford goal with Luke Williams producing 3 brilliant saves from Roberts, Devlin and Roberts again.

A Devlin free kick was then headed down by Walker to Brooks who's shot was saved from point blank range by Williams.

The Bulls brought on Sullivan for O'Reilly and just after that Opoku made his debut replacing Hawker.

Having weathered the storm the Bulls started to get more possession although Roberts blazed over the bar for Poole having been played in by Burbridge.

Hereford could have scored when Onyeike's shot was just about pushed away by Hutchings as the game entered the final quarter.

Lindsay replaced the busy Brooks for Poole.

The game then became frantic as both sides attacked akin to a basketball game, Emmerson and Devlin having attempts saved while the Bulls had efforts from Opoku and Vetier beaten away.

Another save from Hutchings denying Akinde, and then Yafai worked a shot that just went wide.

Kone came on for O'Neill and a point blank headed miss with the goal gaping from Akinde should have seen the Bulls take a late lead.

Steve Vetier couldn't believe he hadn't scored when his rasping volley was just parried away by Hutchings.

Having started slowly the Bulls finished strongly and took a well deserved point from the game.

FT: Poole 0 Hereford 0.
