Video Vault; RIP Adam Stansfield
Thousands of supporters joined former teammates of Adam Stansfield to say a final emotional farewell to the Hereford United favourite.

Hereford United supporters will recall his superb all-action style.

A player who never gave up lost causes, he was a constant threat to defences.

He will be fondly remembered, not just because of his goalscoring prowess, but as a result of a thoroughly professional attitude to life and to the sport.

On the pitch his style of play ensured his colleagues always had an outlet, and away from the action he was a delight to talk to.

As a football reporter I always found him extremely approachable, extremely engaging, and always a willing listener.

Stansfield scored 17 times for Yeovil in 65 games prior to a move to Edgar Street in June 2004.

Arguably he produced his best form in a Hereford shirt culminating in a Conference play-off final at the Walkers Stadium on May 20, 2006 when the Bulls beat Halifax Town 3-2 restoring United's spot in the league after a nine year absence.

In all Stansfield scored 27 goals for the Bulls chalking up 76 appearances along the way.

Everyone associated with Hereford United Football Club wishes to pass on their sincere condolences to his family at this difficult time.

A sad, sad loss at such an early age.
